Overview:
Ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2 L3 (UBE2L3) belongs to the ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme family of the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway, facilitating the transfer of activated ubiquitin from ubiquitin-activating enzyme to target proteins with the help of ubiquitin-protein ligases. It specifically acts with HECT-type and RBR family E3 ubiquitin-protein ligases and does not function with most RING-containing E3 ubiquitin-protein ligases. Catalyzes "Lys-11"-linked polyubiquitination in vitro.
