Overview:
MINDY 4 is a member of motif interacting with Ub-containing novel DUB family. It is found in all eukaryotes and selectively cleaves K48-linked polyUb, a signal that targets protein degradations (1). It has been associated with teratospermina and solid tumors including colon cancer (2,3). The expression and function of MINDY4 has yet to be characterized, however it has been shown to play a role in sustaining cell survival in vitro and regulating growth in vivo. (3)
